About
Chapter 1 — Life on The Prairies
I grew up in the Canadian Prairies, where winters bite at -30°C and summers stretch to +30°C. These extremes have shaped me. It's taught me how to be resilient, patient, and how to find beauty in quiet places. When most kids worked summer jobs, I spent mine cold-calling small businesses and designing their first websites. I learned that initiative creates momentum, and that opportunity can be designed.
Chapter 2 — The Learning Years
I studied commerce at the University of Manitoba with a keen interest in Marketing. I got accepted into the graduate student program at my local telecommunications company. It was these early years in my late teens and early twenties that taught me how big organizations move. I got to experience their rhythms, politics, and blind spots; things you can't learn in the classroom.
Chapter 3 — The Corporate Chapter
I spent fifteen years at Bell MTS across marketing, sales, and data analytics. The experience was a masterclass in communication technology and organizational theory. I learned how information travels, how decisions are made, and how scale changes everything. I worked alongside very talented people, turned data analytics into an organization-wide shared service, and got to work on the project that helped close a $4 billion acquisition. I learned about how bureaucracy can get in the way of progress and the importance of timing.
Chapter 4 — True North
Today, I lead Analytics & Technology at True North Sports + Entertainment — home to the Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose. My team brings together IT, Data Analytics, Web and App Development, and a suite of Technology Services that help the organization work smarter and move faster. Our goal is to design technology and systems that serve our users and amplifies what they do best.
